Janae’ Ann Anderson – Miss Togo Arizona 2020
When Janae’ was a 7 year young girl and she was out as a family her two sisters ,mom and dad at broadway to go see the lion king .Her parents bought her a lion stuffed animal and she loved it so much and had it record the live show and been taught to be proud of her African heritage and what her ancestors sacrificed for all.
Attending Marcus Garvey an African American private school in Los Angeles was where she learned Swahili in 5th and 6th grade along with Spanish that she still carries with her today. Fast forward to 2010 Texas Janae attended the prestigious Prairie View A&M University a Historically Black College/University(HBCU) where she was a member of the NAACP (Prairie View Chapter), Campus activities board, Classic Dance ensemble and co-founder of 100 Collegiate women of America which is still going strong today. In addition, she was deputized to sign people up to vote locally, a member of H.A.L.O and participated in mentorship, volunteering in giving back to the community. Janae’ recently acquired her Master of Business Administration(MBA) Degree from Colorado Tech University with a concentration in Finance and has currently started her banking career.
